On 13th, November, AMBA Asia Pacific Conference for Deans and Directors was held in Auckland, New Zealand. Sir Paul Judge, the president of AMBA, awarded the certificate to MBA School of ZUEL for further approving of its faculty strength, education quality, alumni service, internationalization and facilities input.
On October 9, 2014, Association of MBAs (or AMBA) notified us that our MBA education has received the AMBA re-accreditation for the maximum period of five years. A re-accreditation panel carried an on-site assessment for our MBA and EMBA programs from June 9 to June 10, 2014. The panel was led by Professor Andrew Lock. And other panel members were Professor Martyn Jones, Professor Wang Chongming and Mr. George Lliev.
MBA School of ZUEL was originally accredited in 2011. Following up the sincere advices from AMBA accreditation experts and with the support and involvement of University leaders, MBA School, deciding to adhere to “promoting the development of the School with accreditation”, further improved the governance structure, strengthened program innovation and faculty training and thus raised the internationalization of the School. Three years later, the re-accreditation panel spoke highly of our continuous innovation and improvement. The panel highly praised the 3S (Solider, Student and Staff) Full-time MBA Program, co-established by MBA School and NACA Military Academy, regarding it as a symbol of innovation and distinctiveness not only within China but even on an international scale. The panel also commended our MBA education, including the teaching faculty, alumni service, approval of alumni and employers, internationalization and input in teaching facilities. And the panel was impressed by the establishment of Oracle Suite (finance trading lab) and its use in the delivery of practical training in the MBA. In the end, the panel hoped MBA School to continue its innovation vitality, and recommended on such areas like internalization, improvement of students’ soft skills and investment in faculty support.
The receipt of AMBA re-accreditation is not only an assessment but also an approval of our MBA education. We believe that ZUEL’s MBA education will embrace with a better future under the guidance of AMBA.
The Association of MBAs was founded in 1967. It is an authoritative MBA-specific accreditation organization, focused on promoted the development of business and management practice. It put great stress on the integration of management theory and business practice. During the assessment of self-audit report and the on-site assessment, it will emphasize whether “practice-oriented” is reflected in the MBA program.
