AACSB International, or Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, is a world-renowned non-governmental accreditation organization on business schools and accounting programs. It provides authoritative accreditation for business management and accounting on undergraduate and graduate levels. MBA School of ZUEL has become a member of AACSB International, and is preparing the application for accreditation eligibility..

    AACSB seminar was the first-day activity of Professor Lee’s visit to ZUEL. On the seminar, Professor Lee made a brief introduction to AACSB, talked about the influence of AACSB on business schools and introduced in detail the latest AACSB accreditation standards released in 2013. College of Management of Fu Jen Catholic University is among the top business schools in the world and has passed the AACSB accreditation in April 22, 2005. On the seminar, Professor Lee also shared their AACSB accreditation experience. He regarded the accreditation as a competition with his College’s mission and purpose, stressing the importance of teaching faculty, diversity of students’ sources, bi-lingual education, innovation and finance support.

    Tomorrow, Professor Lee will deliver a lecture, give instruction on AACSB accreditation and discuss on the cooperation of the two sides.  

Introduction to Professor Michael Lee

    Professor Lee got his doctor’s degree on Operations Research and Industrial Engineer from the University of Texas at Austin, USA. He is the Dean of the College of Management under Fu Jen Catholic University and a professor of the College’s graduate institute of business administration. He is also the guest professor of such universities as Renmin University of China, Xiamen University, University of Science and Technology of China, Shandong University of Finance and Economics, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, University of South Australia, State University of New York at Stony Brook and University of Texas at Arlington. His specialties and research orientations lie in management of customer relations, data mining, marketing, applied statistics, artificial intelligence, industrial engineering and management etc.

    Professor Lee is a member of AACSB’s initial accreditation committee, expert judge of the accreditation visiting committee and special appraiser of the accreditation seminar in Greater China Region.
